Wednesday Word: Squirrelly
squirrelly |ˈskwər(ə)lē|adjective1 relating to or resembling a squirrel : the chipmunks were little squirrelly things.2 informal restless, nervous, or unpredictable.• eccentric or insane.
Isn't it funny that to "squirrel something away" means to save it for a rainy day, yet squirrelly is synonymous with being nutty?
On a totally related note, Pink Squirrel Press presents:
In this collection you'll find five summery tales from both sides of the Atlantic.

The British Are Coming!
You can always count on a good dose of humor, interesting
characters, and jucy Britishness when reading a J.L. Merrow story. It's great
when you're an Anglophile like me, but you're likely to enjoy it even if you're
not.

Breaking My Own Rules…
…but it doesn't count, because it's not about writing, not mine at any rate.
Over at Jessewave JL Merrow got a nice 4.5 star review on her novella, A Calling for Pleasure. It's a title she got back from the publisher and decided to re-self-publish, and asked me if I could help with the cover design. We kept the font from the original and changed everything else.
To my surprise and delight, the cover got a brief mention at the end of the review: "The cover artist, Lou Harper, has a sly sense of humor. Giggle: look closely."
Can you spot what she meant?
