Wednesday Word: Copacetic

copacetic |ˌkōpəˈsetik| (also copasetic)adjective informalin excellent order.ORIGIN early 20th cent.of unknown origin.

If you asked me I would've guessed it had something to do with medicine. Or maybe poisons.

  1. This I knew! There's a phrase that isn't in popular usage, but is used - "Are we copacetic?"

  2. Definitely sounds medicinal to me! I looked it up and it seems to come from America, which may account for my not having heard of it (I'm in the UK), especially if it isn't that commonly used in the US.
