Wednesday Word: Lummox

lummox |ˈləməks|noun informala clumsy, stupid person : watch it, you great lummox!ORIGIN early 19th cent.: of unknown origin.
It's an old fashioned word, and I like it as a term of endearment--as in "lovable lummox."
